Former MLA Raghupathy Bhat said that there is a conspiracy behind Shiroor seer Sri Lakshmivara Theertha Swami's decision to contest upcoming Assembly election as the seer is all praise for Congress and Minister Pramod Madhwaraj.
The former MLA said that BJP leaders are into convincing the seer, however, after going through a survey, a decision would be taken on the probable candidate. He said he would happily accept the party high command's decision.
He accused District In-charge Minister Madhwaraj for hatching up a conspiracy against him joining hands with the seer.
Also, he denied that his own party members who are against him contesting the elections have planned and made the seer agree upon contesting. He said there is no such difference within the BJP.
Bhat said the seer, before praising the Congress, should have considered the corruption involving Congress administration in Udupi. The seer is being considered as one of the probable candidates in the list of BJP and there are also possibilities of him being considered for the party's ticket for Udupi constituency.
