A dream come true

Dashing: Yash

You’d never find actor Yash overdressed on any occasion. This young actor wears simplicity on his sleeves as well. Yash may not have been basking in the limelight but this young man is no less talented. He shot to fame through the serials Nandagokula and Preethi Illada Mele and there has been no looking back since then. He donned the role of a hero in Rocky, Moggina Manasu and Kallara Santhe.

Acting has been Yash’s childhood dream. “When I was in school if anyone asked me what I wanted to do then I’d say without a second thought that I wanted to be an actor. I had never thought of anything else apart from acting.”When asked about how he coped with the transition from television to films, he says “I did not find much difference, although I had to adapt to basic technicalities. I had to work a little more on body language because movies demanded more than television.”

Yash loves doing donning different roles. He recalls that his role in Kallara Santhe was well received. “When I was in Mandya, a man came up to me and said that he wanted me to help him solve a problem and that he would help me in what ever way he could. He thought I could do everything for him.” he says and adds, “it feels nice when people relate to me through the roles I play.”

Yash is best known for his dance. He says, “I want to be recognised as an actor. I believe that dancing is a part of acting. A movie like Rocky demanded a lot of dancing and that is how my dancing skills were brought to light.” As far as his roles are concerned, he says, “I always play roles that are slightly different. I don’t repeat roles.”

Yash loves lively music and drives off to his native in Mandya or Mysore whenever time permits. He is currently working on Modala Sala which is directed by Purshotham and is cast opposite Bhama. He has also signed up for an action film.
