<p class="title">Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday removed AICC general secretary C P Joshi as the in-charge of party affairs in Bihar and handed over the responsibility to senior Gujarat leader Shaktisinh Gohil, <span class="italic"><em>DHNS</em></span> reports from New Delhi.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Rahul also appointed the dynamic three-term MLA from Allahabad Anugrah Narain Singh as the AICC in-charge of Uttarakhand in place of AICC general secretary Ambika Soni, who had expressed the desire to be relieved of the post.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"The party appreciates the hard work and contribution of Dr C P Joshi, who is relieved from the charge of the general secretary in-charge of Bihar," AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot said in a statement here.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The 57-year-old Gohil, a former leader of the Congress Legislature Party in Gujarat, played a crucial role in ensuring the victory of Ahmed Patel in the keenly fought Rajya Sabha elections in the state in August last year.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He faces the tough task of reviving the Congress in the electorally crucial Bihar, where the party is a victim of factionalism and relegated to being a minor player as regional parties JD(U) and RJD hold sway over state politics.</p>
