Man donates kidney to sister on Kidney Day

On the occasion of World Kidney Day, a young man donated his kidney for his ailing sister who was suffering from a chronic disease.

The kidney transplant team at Yenepoya Medical College, Deralakatte, Mangaluru successfully conducted the transplant. The patient was suffering from chronic kidney disease and was on dialysis for the past six months. Her younger brother voluntarily offered to donate his kidney. Post-surgery, both the donor and recipient are doing well.
