JOIN USHR executive-turned-media baron Indrani Mukerjea has been admitted to the government-run Sir JJ Hospital in Mumbai on Friday.
She is currently in the critical care unit (CCU) of the hospital- on Saturday she underwent a series of medical investigations including an MRI and CT scan.
"She is responding to treatment," hospital sources said.
The exact nature of her illness or medical issue is not know.
Drug overdose has not been ruled out as it may be recalled, in 2015, Indrani, the wife of former media baron Peter Mukerjea, had been rushed to hospital for a similar medical emergency arising out of a suspected drug overdose and remained under treatment for nearly a week.
Whether she had consumed some pills or not, will be known only after the medical reports are available.
Indrani, the former owner of INX Media, who is an accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, and lodged at the Byculla Women's Jail.
Peter, too, is an accused in the Sheena Bora murder case and is lodged at the Arthur Road prison.
