<p>The Forest Department officials have failed to trace a tiger that has been creating panic among local people at Kottageri on Saturday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The CCTV had captured the movement of the tiger in a coffee estate at Kottageri on Thursday night.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Based on the footage, the officials along with tamed elephants began an operation to track the tiger.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The services of tamed elephants Abhimanyu, Krishna, Drona, Bheema were used by the officials.</p>.<p class="CrossHead">Tiger kills calf</p>.<p class="bodytext">A tiger on the prowl in Bekkesodloor situated five kilometres away from Kottageri has attacked and killed a calf causing apprehension among the local community.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The calf belongs to Tanacchira Rohini. The tiger has also injured a cow.</p>.<p class="bodytext">On hearing a sound from the cowshed, Rohini and other inmates of the house had rushed to the cowshed and saw a tiger. Hearing the commotion, the tiger fled inside the coffee estate.</p>
