GoDaddy surpasses one million customers in India

GoDaddy India, part of the global cloud platform offering domain names to small and medium enterprises, on Tuesday  announced that it has surpassed one million customers in India.

In an interaction with DH, GoDaddy India Vice President and Managing Director Nikhil Arora said achieving the one million milestone is a culmination of various customer-centric initiative taken by the company in India.  

"We started our India operation in 2012 with over 40 member customer care agents and started out product discussion in the country. Now we have achieved 4000 calls per day and 700 customer care agents," he said.

Arora the company launched its professional website service in the country which enhanced the customer satisfaction in India. "Moving forward, we are committed to contribute significantly to our country's Digital India initiative," he said.

GoDaddy expects  one-third of Indian small businesses to be online by 2022 and this demand will come from Tier 11 and Tier 111 cities with its partner and reseller network.  

"We have a strong brand name visibility and resonance with customers. According to the .IN Registry, GoDaddy now has 40 percent market share for all .IN domains in India," he said.  

The company on Tuesday also launched online security awareness program  for the months of November and December.

GoDaddy delivers an integrated suite of cloud-based online products to help people leverage the power of the Internet, from domain name registration to website creation to business email and productivity tools, designed to create and manage an online presence.

GoDaddy combines its product suite with multi lingual 24x7 local Indian customer care experts to help customers along their journey.
