Swachh Bharat drive in Sainik School

A Swachh Bharat drive was organised at Sainik School Kodagu on Saturday in order to commemorate the solemn occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar, Father of the Indian Constitution.

The drive was conducted as a part of Swachh Vidyalaya Campaign according to the directives received from the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Principal Group Capt R R Lall in his address reiterated the need of making the school campus 'plastic free' and encouraged the cadets to strive to keep the surrounding clean and free from plastic items.

He also appraised the cadets on the bad effects of plastic and encouraged them to use products which are biodegradable and do not cause any harm to the environment.

He asked the cadets to remain committed to the cause of ensuring cleanliness in the surroundings.

A total of 534 cadets participated in the Swachh Bharat Mission and campaigned and worked for keeping their surrounding clean and green.
