BIAL gets certification for security management

According to a media release issued here, the certification is recognised internationally as a standard for information security management system (ISMS).

BIAL attained the certification, following a series of audits, conducted by independent third party certification agency, namely, BSI India at BIAL's offices and across all airport IT systems. The audits covered common use terminal equipment, common use self-service, baggage tracking and flight information systems, the release said.

"Information security has always been put on priority at BIAL and our ICT department has been carrying out various programs and initiatives to ensure, we meet the set certification standards," said BIAL president Marcel Hungerbuehler, on receiving the certification.
