Eight killed in US drone attack in Pak

The missiles were fired at a suspected militant hideout in Inzar Kala area near Datta Khel in North Waziristan tribal agency.

The area where the attack occurred is considered a stronghold for Taliban and al-Qaeda elements.

Officials were quoted by TV channels as saying that those killed were suspected militants. They said the death toll could rise.

At least two drones were seen flying over the area after the attack, the TV channels reported.

Datta Khel, located near the border with Afghanistan, is the hometown of militant commander Hafiz Gul Bahadur.
