Sainanda Devidas Satarkar (32), who runs a shop here, was reportedly assaulted by Sea Bird personnel, who visited his shop to purchase cigarettes. They allegedly tried to rape Sanjana, wife of Satarkar and fled the scene after assaulting him.
Satarkar has sustained severe injuries on his head, and has been admitted to the district hospital. A case has been registered at the rural police station, and the investigation is on.
