For the first time, the faculty held a glittering farewell function for the students, where it presented gold and silver rings to the graduating students as life-time mementos.
This ceremony was done by the faculty through their own personal contribution.

Over 450 students graduated from the institute this academic year in flying colours. Present at the ceremony was the Governor of Karnataka Hans Raj Bhardwaj, who gave away a gold ring to the overall topper in academics, while all the graduating students received silver rings from the faculty.

It was a day that brought four years filled with memories to an end, it was both joyous and sad. While the students were keenly looking forward to their future, they were also sad about missing the time spent at the college. The graduation day celebrations began with the national anthem, followed by a speech by P Shyama Raju, Principal, RITM and Hans Raj Bhardwaj.

Taking pride in the students who had portrayed excellent skills in academics and extracurricular activities, P Shyama Raju said, “I would like to congratulate the students for their outstanding performance. Our students not only performed well in academics but also emerged victorious in all the events, competitions and fests that they participated in since the beginning of this year.”

This was followed by the felicitation of the Governor. During the event, the faculty also spoke about the importance of a proper mentoring support system to help young minds function to the best of their capabilities and to contribute to the society.
“Our mission as educators is to prepare young leaders who would be committed to their profession and train young managers to play the role of genuine change agents who are mindful of professional ethics and values,” said P Shyama Raju.
The evening had the parents sharing their experiences with the faculty, sharing good and bad memories. The day also saw the release of college’s annual magazine, Aantarya 2010.
