A group show of the works of eight eminent artists will be held at Akhter’s Art Gallery at Attavar in the city from June 13 to 19, informed the Gallery convener Kandan G. Addressing a press meet here on Thursday, he said a total of 50 outstanding works on different media would be on display.
Alva’s Education Foundation President Dr M Mohan Alva will inaugurate the expo at 5 pm on June 13, while artist P S Puninchithaya and Art Gallery Director Dr Akhter Hussain will be the chief guests.
The works of Ina Kaur from the USA, Jaskanwal from Chandighar, Shalini Soni from Jodhpur, Shilpa Basavaraj from Mysore, Pradeep Das from Orissa, Keshav Varnoti from Rajasthan, Yathee Kasaragod from Kerala and Jayanta Khan from Kolkata will be displayed in the exhibition, Kandan said.
