The speaker directed the state labour minister Nawab Malik to conduct the survey as soon as possible, a move loudly welcomed by the members.
The issue was raised by Shiv Sena members in the house. Leader of opposition Ramdas Kadam alleged that despite the state government’s regulations stipulating 80 per cent jobs for Maharashtrians, factory owners and businessmen were flouting the norms and giving jobs to ‘outsiders.’
