JOIN US For the second consecutive week, Minister Shobha Karandlaje did not brief the media on the outcome of the State Cabinet meeting. It was Home Minister V S Acharya, who addressed the reporters, on Thursday.
For the last one year, Shobha used to brief the media after the Cabinet meeting. The normal practice is to allow the information minister to give details to the newsmen. Though Katta Subramanya Naidu is the information minister, it was Shobha’s show all these days.
Yeddyurappa’s detractors have been complaining that Shobha has been getting undue prominence. With too many BJP leaders complaining against her, Shobha kept off from the media briefing. She has also said that she is firm on quitting as Mysore district in-charge minister. She had said that she was briefing the media as per CM’s directions.
