Prasad stars for Jawans

In the only game in the latest set of matches to produce a result, Prasad took seven for 51 and five for 30 as Jupiters were shot out for 175 and 110 respectively.

Jawans, who had taken a 74-run lead on the first innings following left-hander Amit Verma’s unbeaten 121, knocked off the 37 runs required for victory for the loss of three wickets.

In another match, Bharath Chipli cracked an unbeaten double century but Swastic Union Cricket Club (1) could only draw against Social Cricketers.

Batting first, Social Cricketers rode on Stuart Binny’s 117 to post 320 all out in 69 overs. BN Bharath hit a fine 84 while Sudhindra Shinde scored 50.

Chipli then led Swastic Union’s strong reply of 367 for four in 89 overs, cracking 200 not out. By virtue of their first innings lead, Swastic took three points while Socials got one point.
