They said that Paramesh, hailing from Scheduled Caste had reared fishes in Mugthihalli lake after being trained by Department of Fisheries. However, some miscreant had started fishing from the lake illegally, which has affected Paramesh’s livelihood. They demanded action against those involving in illegal fishing.
Demanding suspension of Fisheries Department officer, they said that police have failed to provide adequate security to the Dalits.
DSS District Convener Yalagudige Basavaraj and other leaders took part in the protest.
