The Chief Minister will share the views of Opposition leaders of both Houses of State Legislature on the issue with his colleagues. He had held a meeting with Opposition leaders on Wednesday and elicited their views.

Though the Chief Minister was scheduled to hold the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, he decided to postpone it at the eleventh hour as there was no consensus among the ministers on how much power should be given to the Lokayukta.

According to sources, the Cabinet is likely to set up a sub-committee to look into the issue. By doing so, the Government will get some breathing time, sources added.

Yeddyurappa has convened a meeting of all ministers at a private resort in Yelahanka on the outskirts of Bangalore at 3 pm, to discuss and chalk out plans to make the administration more effective. State BJP President K S Eshwarappa will also take part.

The Chief Minister will brief his colleagues about Sushassan (good governance) workshop conducted by the BJP national leaders in Mumbai recently. The party had directed Chief Minister to conduct a follow up meeting on the workshop at the State level.
