JOIN USThe enraged students who were apparently disturbed over the transfer of headmaster Kashiram Dubey to Chengata in Chincholi taluk resorted to the novel protest. They said that Dubey has been managing the administration admirably and urged the Education Department to revoke his transfer.
Gram Panchayat President, Nandakumar Bhatt, members and other dignitaries rushed to the school and pacified the students. They promised that they will prevail upon the higher authorities to cancel the transfer of the headmaster. Following the assurance, the students withdrew their protest.
When contacted Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) B S Paramesh feigned ignorance about the incident stating the Block Education Officer has not sent any report in this regard. Afzalpur BEO Basavaraj Gounalli had switched off his mobile phone when Deccan Herald tried to contact him.
