There were no destructions and the authorities did not call a tsunami threat.
Local seismic stations registered the quake last night and its epicenter was located in the Kronotsky Bay some 200 kilometers to the northeast from the regional capital, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
No tremors of the crust were felt in the Kamchatka territory's population centers.
