The incident came to light in the wee hours of Monday.
The box contained tender documents for works to be taken up under ADSMT Scheme by Town Municipal Council at the cost of Rs nine crore.
Local BJP leaders suspect that the fire may not have been ‘accidental’ and have demanded the State government for a detailed probe into the incident.
