<p>According to a statement issued by Nokia India Wednesday, the strike was called off after a meeting between Tamil Nadu Labour Minister T.M. Anbarasan, representatives of Nokia India Employees Progressive Union (NIEPU) and Nokia India's management that resolved the long term wage settlement issue.<br /><br />Nokia India's workers struck work Tuesday demanding reinstatement of 63 suspended workers and a revision in the wage settlement.<br /><br />According to the company, the long term wage settlement discussed with NIEPU Monday has been agreed upon and the formal agreement will be signed at the plant Thursday.<br /><br />As a gesture of goodwill, the company management has offered to revoke the suspension of all the employees pending completion of remaining legal process of disciplinary proceedings.</p>
