The programme was organised by the Sir M V Pro-People’s Forum.
Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Dr Paramashivaiah said, “I hope the people of this region will be able to reap the benefits of the Netravati Diversion Project soon.”
Speaking on the occasion, district Superintendent of Police Ravindra Prasad said,“The Sir MV Pro-People Forum is carrying out a task that will help many people who are in need. This is very commendable.”
Anjaneya Reddy, President of the Forum, said, “A small canal can be made to divert water from the rivers, which are now flowing into the Western Ghats, in order to provide water to Kolar and Chikkaballapur. Any fears and anxieties in this regard should be got rid of.”
