Back where he belongs

Sources from the sets reveal that Vindu has given a fabulous performance and was completely charged, especially after he was welcomed in Punjab as the son of the soil. On being asked about it, Vindu says, “On my trip to Punjab, where I actually belong, I had a great experience! Being in such a beautiful city of Mohali, you truly experience the essence of our Punjabi culture. Also getting to shoot at my own studio was a completely superb experience and I totally felt at home even on the set.”

Vindu was born in the Jat family of veteran Indian actor and wrestler Dara Singh. Debuting with the film Karan in 1994, he acted in the Punjabi film, Rab Dian Rakhan in 1996, directed by his father. He also played vivd roles in TV serials, including the role of Hanuman in the TV serial Jai Shri Hanuman, similar to his father’s role in Ramayan.

Formerly married to Tabu’s sister Farha, the actor considers Akshay Kumar as his mentor. It was Akki who advised him to stop doing small, supporting roles. In fact, Khiladi Kumar is the one, who recommended Vindu’s name to a few of his producers. Subsequently, Vindu was seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kambakht Ishq and Sajid Khan’s House Full. Even his participation in Big Boss 3, which he eventually won, was due to Akshay’s
recommendation.
