‘The Doorway’

The India Foundation for the Arts is organising the play The Doorway by Jyoti Dogra, from July 23 to 25, 7.30 pm at Ranga Shankara.

 The Doorway is a collection of stories woven into a physical narrative examining the nature of our physical inhabiting of ‘closed’ and ‘open’ spaces.

Children’s fest

A children’s theatre festival will be brought to you by Indian Stage, in association with Khilona, on July 25 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, from 11 am onwards.

The three plays to be staged are The Golden Fish, The Rabbit King, and the Clown’s Cry for the Moon.

Hindi play

Mashaal Theatre Group presents Deluxe Hair Cutting Saloon, a play in Hindi, on July 24, 7.30 pm at K H Kala Soudha, Hanumanthnagar.

The play, set in the Advocate Mukherjee Street in a North Indian town, revolves around the hair-cutting saloon run by the protagonist ‘Bachchan’.

Shakespeare festival

The National Gallery of Modern Art, Bangalore, in association with The British Council and Bangalore Film Society is presenting Shakespeare Told and Retold, a festival of Shakespeare’s plays from July 24 to September 18 at NGMA Auditorium, No 49, Manikyavelu Mansion, Palace Road, For details, call 22342338.

‘The Tale of Haruk’

The Inko Centre and Ranga Shankara, in association with Korean Foundation, will host The Tale of Haruk on July 27, 7.30 pm at Ranga Shankara. It will feature traditional Korean puppets and percussion instruments.

'Ms Meena'

Perch, a Chennai-based theatre group, in association with Rafiki, is staging Ms Meena at Ranga Shankara from July 28 to August 1, 7.30 pm.
