Task force to repair embankments

The nine-member task force will give its interim report within a month and the final report by mid-August, official sources said here.

P Kanjilal, an expert on Sunderbans and Prof Nayan Sharma of IIT-Roorkie are the two experts in the task force. Other members of the team are include Chairman Central Water Commission (CWC) S K Das and Commissioner (Ganga) S P Kakaran. Senior officers of CWC, Ganga Flood Control Commission and Bengal government will assist the force.
