Replying to G M Siddeshwara’s query (BJP), the minister said the State government had sent two proposals to set up driving training institutes – one at Singanayakanahalli village, Yalahanka Hobli, Bangalore, North Taluk, costing Rs 23.45 crore and another at Vaddarahalli village, Dasanapura Hobli, Nelamangala Taluk, Bangalore, costing Rs 20 crore. For both the institutes, the State has sought financial assistance from the Centre.

“The ministry is examining both the proposals and is planning to fund at least one institute,” he said.

Replying to a question from another BJP member J Shantha, the minister said the Centre has asked the Karnataka government to submit a revised proposal on providing transport infrastructure facilities at Hampi.
