Dimpy dumps Rahul, but back after he apologises

Dimpy married Rahul in a high-profile TV show  just months ago. She claimed that Rahul hit her after he was unable to read a message on her cell phone. However, Rahul, who had a troubled past with drug abuse charges and an earlier acrimonious marraige, has denied all allegations.

Rahul’s first wife, childhood friend and pilot Shweta Singh, had divorced him following alleged domestic violence. Rahu, son of slain BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, chose 21-year-old Dimpy, a model and dancer from Kolkata, over Nikunj Malik, 25, and Harpreet Chhabra, 20, on reality TV show “Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega” broadcast by a private television channel.

Dimpy was seen with injuries on her left thigh and swollen face at a railway station in Mumbai. She also had bruises on her hands. The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday morning  when Rahul tried to read a message on Dimpy’s cell phone. He could not because the phone was locked. When he tried to awake Dimpy to unlock the phone, she reportedly asked him to let her sleep. According to Dimpy’s version, Rahul suddenly turned violent and thrashed her. She said he punched, kicked and dragged her by her hair.

Her father arrived at Rahul’s house at 4 pm after she informed him about the incident over the phone. But Rahul denied everything saying: “It is not true at all. I just had dinner with Dimpy’s father.”

Dimpy alleged that the problems started after her insistence on appearing for her second year exam. Rahul was not happy with her trips to Kolkata for the same. “When he gets angry, he would also get physical. One such fight got so out of hand that I had to call my mother-in-law. Later, he was angry that I had involved his mother in the affair,” Dimpy said.

She also alleged that during another fight, Rahul had pointed a gun at her. “He is a nice guy, but when he loses it, we can’t say what he might do.” Their marriage was on the verge of collapse amid reports that Rahul was chasing his old girlfriend actress Payal Rohtagi. Rahul reportedly sent text messages to Payal, seeking a second chance. However, Payal rejected his overtures.
