An exhibition and audio-visual presentation aimed at creating greater awareness about IGNOU and its academic programmes are also scheduled to be held.
The event will be inaugurated by Prof Rajashekara Pillai , the Vice-Chancellor of IGNOU. IGNITE-2010, which has already been held in New Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati, is expected to attract schoolchildren from across Bangalore.
IGNOU is likely to have a new campus in Bangalore at Shingena Agrahara, near to Electronic City off Hosur Road. The campus will be coming up on a three-acre land at an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore.
