<p> <br />The deceased has been identified as Devasegowda (50). It is said that a wild elephant suddenly attacked Devasegowda, Karaboojegowda and Nanjunda, who were grazing their cattle at D B Kuppe forest range on Saturday. <br /><br />While Devasegowda was trampled to death, Karaboojegowda and Nanjunda managed to escape and ran to their village and informed the villagers.<br /><br />Visit <br /><br /> Learning about the incident, the Department officials searched for the body of Devasegowda upto 10 pm on Saturday and found the body only at around 7 am on Sunday. Deputy Conservator of Forests Chandrashekar, Zonal officer A V Satish visited the spot and informed the police. <br /><br />A case has been registered. Police handed over the body to the family of Devasegowda after post mortem.<br /></p>
