Dispute halts construction of Govt PU college building

PU Education Department to file complaint against Private Institution

This incident occurred when Deputy Director of Pre- University Education Krishnaiah and Principal of Government Pre- University College Nagaraja  went to start construction works of the building, armed with the allotment letter near M Krishna Law College. At this juncture, heated debate ensued among them.

The trust members refused to yield to pressure of department officials and claimed ownership of 33 guntas of land for PU college which has been in their possession for the last 60 years.

 At last, Deputy Director of Pre -University Krishnaniah and other officials returned with empty hand.

Krishnaiah said a detailed report will be sent to senior officials of Education Department and permission would be obtained from them whether to file complaint against the Management of Malnad Educational Committee.The Deputy Commissioner of Hassan will be informed before filing complaint in Police Station in this regard, he added.
