Revanna demands inquiry into recruitment

Addressing a news conference here, he charged that the institute Director, who is also holding additional charges of principal and secretary of Department of Medical Education, of committing irregularities. The government should place him under suspension. There were also complaints from former employees of the Institute the posts had been sold for Rs 2 to Rs 5 lakh to several applicants. A statement to this effect made by a senior officer has been recorded.

There are also charges against the secretary that he stayed in Hassan even after completion of recruitment process.

Revanna demanded the state government to cancel all appointments and start the process afresh.

On announcement of District In-charge Minister Bache Gowda of giving Rs 3,000 as compensation for loss of potato crop per acre, he demanded the Government to hike the relief to Rs 10,000 for per hectare.

MLC Patel Shivaram, former Rajya Sabha member and District Unit JD(S) President Javaregowda and others were present.
