'Explore possibilities of Bicycle Day during Dasara'

DC asks officials at Dasara preliminary meeting

 
Participating in the Dasara-2010 preliminary meeting here, he said one that day everybody could move on bi-cycles in the entire city. The officials should work about its feasibility. All efforts should be made to celebrate the ‘Nada Habba’ with much more pomp and gaiety. All letter correspondence for some programmes need to be done much in advance. Such works should be identified now only and finalise before starting of the works.

Gupta said there will not be much change in sub-committees and those who were in previous year’s committees could start working plan of action from today itself. The officers of Dasara Illumination Committee were asked to plan for some more illuminated arches to make the city much more grand.

As usual there will be Grameena Dasara, Raitha Dasara, Rural sports event and illumination of individual houses. This should be given proper propaganda. Prizes could also be given in these categories, he added. He asked department of Woman and Child Welfare to organise special Dasara for children.

City Police Commissioner Sunil Agarwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr C J Betsurmutt and other officials participated in the meeting.
