No bank account for JD(S) candidate Y S V Datta

Datta has five acre land valued at Rs seven lakh at Y Basavanahalli in Yagati hobli. There are 160 coconut trees grown on this land. He has two sites at Yagati itself one in his own name and the other registered in his wife Nirmala’s name. The land in his wife’s name was purchased by him in 2001 from his savings. That is about Datta’s land holdings.

Datta has two unmarried sisters of which one sibling Shailaja has a site in Birur DHO extension. Apart from this, there is a tiled house in Yagati, which has not yet been divided between him and his brother. Datta has no bank accounts and has Rs 25,000 in cash. Wife has Rs 30,000 in cash, sisters Vijayalakshmi and Shailaja have Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively in cash.

Nirmala has a deposit of Rs 49,500 in Vishveshwaraiah Co-op Bank Bangalore. She also has 20 shares of Rs 20 face value each along with another 100 shares of Rs 10 face value each of Syndicate Bank. Nirmala has a Reliance Life Insurance policy of an annual premium of Rs 20,000, taken in 2006.

An investment of Rs 25,000 in UTI, Rs 49,000 in Infrastructure Fund and Rs 49,000 in Growth Fund, LIC policy of Rs 50,000 are some of the investments made by Nirmala.
Datta has two LIC policies of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 20,000 each. He has purchased Kisan Vikas Pathra of Rs 2 lakh in 2004 in his daughter Sirdevi’s name. There are three policies of Rs 2.5 lakh in her name and a deposit of Rs 1 lakh.

Datta has gold ornaments of 150 gms, wife has 650 gms of gold, daughter has 100 gms of gold ornaments while his sisters have 175 gms of ornaments. None of the family members own vehicle. They do not have loans in their name from any bank.
