HIMS employees stage protest

Keeping kerosene and poison along with them, the protesters threated to commit mass suicide if the Government didn’t revoke its Wednesday’s order.

They raised slogans against the chief minister alleging that Yeddyurappa cancelled the appointments due to the tussle between him and the medical education minister.

They said the chief minister should have ordered a probe into the alleged irregularities in the appointment instead of relieving the newlys-recruited staff. They have appealed to the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal to stay the Government’s order.
