Burglary: Miscreants decamp with booty worth Rs 1.95 lakh

The burglary has occurred at the house of Dakshinamurthy and came to light when his wife Sulochana and daughter came home on Saturday.

It is said that Dakshinamurthy and family had stayed overnight at their relatives house in the same layout.  When Sulochana and daughter returned home this morning, they were shocked to see the ransacked house. The almirah inside the bedroom was broken and the clothes were found strewn around the room.

Laptop spared

According to police, the thieves have escaped with Rs 45,000 cash, and 128 gms of gold including a gold chain, one bracelet, three sets of ear rings, one pair of bangles. But the laptop and some silver valuables were left untouched.

Sulochana has lodged a complaint with K R Puram police station. Fingerprint experts and police officials visited the spot for investigation.
Police have registered a case and are investigating.
