Sources, who talked to Hilton since her arrest on the Vegas trip, revealed that the star is insisting the purse did not belong to her, reports TMZ.com. Hilton had hired Vegas lawyer David Chernoff to handle the case and he already got her sprung without posting bail.
The hotel heiress was reportedly the only woman in the car that was stopped, but she had been partying at a club prior to the bust where other women and purses were present.
Hilton’s lawyer has said people should not rush to judgment unless the court gives verdict in the cocaine case. In a statement on Saturday her lawyer David Chernoff said: Hilton has been released by the Las Vegas police after her arrest for possessing cocaine on Friday night.
After her release from jail, Hilton sent a message on her Twitter account saying she was going to bed, but not mentioning the arrest. Hilton’s publicist did not return calls for comment on Saturday.
