Though many films were offered to her after the success of Raam, Priyamani took things slowly and signed projects that she truly believed in.
Very soon, the actress will be seen in another film Eno Onthara with Ganesh. Talking about the project, she says, “When I heard about the script I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I play a happy-go-lucky college girl. With a rather carefree attitude, I also get to show my glamourous side.”
Working with Ganesh, she says, was a great experience. “He is such a natural actor. We had a great time shooting together. Ganesh had such an infectious laughter on the sets, he made sure no one had a dull moment,” she adds.
Currently, Priyamani is working in a Dwarkeesh Production opposite Sudeep. “I have been asked not to talk about the project. All I can say is I have great expectations from the film,” says Priyamani.
Grapevine has it that Priyamani will soon star in an historical film Sangolli Raayanna, in which Challenging Star Darshan plays the title role. When asked about it, she says, “I was approached by the producer and the director of the film but nothing has been finalised yet. Things are still in discussion stage.”
Now that Priyamani is working with all the bigwigs in the industry, one can assume that she has finally found her place in Sandalwood. “I can’t really say that I am totally settled. I still have to do so much more here. But it sure is a good start for me and I am loving every minute of it,” says Priyamani, who is also doing a Malayalam film with Mammootty and a Telugu film with Nagarjuna.
