Now there are hardly such complaints as educated youths have joined transport department as conductors and drivers.

Out of 2400 villages, buses are operated to 2,200 villages. Others are denied of bus facility because of bad roads.

Divisional Controller of KSRTC, Hassan Division, Basavaraj told Deccan Herald that the corporation is ready to operate buses if people come out with a request.

Lack of facilities

On the other hand, facilities are at the nadir in rural bus stand. There is no seating arrangements, rest room. Only a few buses are operated to rural areas.

Commuters have to wait for long hours for the buses. The toilets built at the entrance of bus stand are not maintained. Stinking toilets has angered commuters.  In the absence of parking place, vehicles are parked everywhere in the bus stand premises.
