KV Sangathan to play cupid

Employees can search for life partners on its website

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, the governing body of KV schools, has given the teaching and non-teaching staff, an opportunity to find their life partners through their official website.

The official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan has been hosting information about unmarried employees from August.

Personal details of the employees including name, designation, hometown, date of birth, phone number is available in the website and nine members have already registered.
Several employees say they have already started receiving calls from interested partners across the country.

Employees like Sanjay Kumar, who works as a librarian with one of the KV schools, claims he has received phone calls as well as e-mails from across the country. Though he is unhappy that he cannot upload his picture on the website, he is happy with the new opportunity given to him.

“Searching for a partner has been difficult as I do not stay in my hometown, Madhya Pradesh, where my parents live. The website will definitely help me,” says the 31-year-old librarian of KV Kalpetta.

Since its inception in 1965, KVs have established themselves as premier institutes in school education. There are close to 1,073 schools and 49,611 employees.

Several employees also claim that they get many calls from their fellow unmarried employees from different parts of country.

“I have received calls from several teachers across the country. Many do not know about the procedure for uploading their profiles online,” says Sachin G Basode, a primary school teacher.

As the applications posted on the website are approved by the concerned schools, there is more credibility than any other matrimonial site, feel the staff.
