Destitute centre under NGO's care

Speaking to media persons after visiting the local destitute centre on Wednesday in the wake of death of two persons on Tuesday, the minister said steps are taken for the appointment of two nurses for the centre. The solar water heating system has been installed. Instructions are issued to release 14 persons  at the Centre of which two persons have already been released. Another 20 persons would be released in the second phase.

Autopsy

Sureshkumar said the postmortem on two persons who died in the centre, has been done at K R Hospital and report is awaited. Although, it was natural death, postmortem had been done to remove doubts in the minds of people.

The district administration has taken steps for the health of inmates and conducted a health check-up camp recently.

Additional deputy commissioner, Dr C J Betsurmutt and District Backward Classes officer, Mayadevi Galgali were present.
