All the sportsmen and officers had left the ground after wrapping up taluk-level rural sportsmeet which was held in the same ground. But the landing of chopper which was on its way to Mangalore from Bangalore created anxiety among the people.
Mudigere police reached the venue immediately after receiving the news and tried to enquire people in the chopper.
Soon it was found that the chopper had an emergency landing due to the bad weather conditions. Captain Duly provided required information to the police.
