They took out a protest rally from  Government Junior College up to Jai Bhuvaneshwari Circle after passing through main roads of the city. They shouted slogans against Centre’s anti-poor student’s policy. Thousands of poor students cannot afford higher eduction due to commercialisation of education. Infact, the Supreme Court directed the Union Government to check commercialisation of education keeping in view of the future of poor and meritorious students. Though, the Centre has enacted a law to check this, this has not been implemented by many private colleges. There is disparity in fee structure and it needs to be addressed at the earliest. Need of the hour was to earmark more funds for the education sector.

They submitted a memorandum copy to Deputy Commissioner.  ABVP District Convener H M Madesh, District Organising Secretary Kedaranath and others led the stir.
