Deviramma Deepotsava from November 6

The Bindigada Adishakthi Deviramma Deepostava will be organised in a grand manner at Mallenahalli in Chikkamagaluru taluk from November 6 to 9.

The Deviramma Degula Abhivridhi Samithi has made elaborate arrangements for the Deepotsava. Special puja rituals will be held from November 6 itself.

The fair on Deepavali is the specialty of the temple. The temple door opens only during the Deepotsava. A large number of devotees from Karnataka and outside the state attend the fair. KSRTC has deployed special buses to Mallenahalli from Tarikere, Birur, Kadur and Chikkamagaluru. The police have strengthened security ahead of the Deepotsava.

The temple committee said that meals will be served to the devotees daily. The devotees have been appealed not to get firecrackers and plastic carry bags along with them to the temple situated on a hill.
