The devotees will wear Dattamala on Wednesday at Kamadhenu Ganapathi temple, on Rathnagiri Road in Chikkamagaluru, said VHP district secretary Yogishraj Aras.
Speaking to reporters, he said Dattahoma will be performed at the temple at 9.30 am.
The Dattamala Abhiyana will be held till December 22 and Anasooyadevi Jayanthi will be held on December 20.
Sankeerthana Yatra will be carried out on the occasion. Later, women devotees will leave for Sri Gurudattareya Bababudanswamy Dargah. After having darshana of Datta Paduke, the devotees will take part in Anasooyadevi puja.
A Shobhayatra will be held in Chikkamagaluru on December 21. In the religious meet at Azad Park, VHP Pramukh Manjunath Swamy will deliver the address.
On December 22, Ganapathi Homa and a religious meet will be held.
