Debutant boxer Simranjit Kaur knocked out of Tokyo Olympics

Indian boxer Simranjit Kaur, who was featuring in Olympics for the first time, has been knocked out in the pre-quarterfinals to make an early exit from the Tokyo Olympics. The 26-year-old Simran gave a tough fight to Thailand's Sudaporn Seesondee, a two-time world championships medalist. She lost her round of 16 to Seesondee 0-5 despite a gritty performance.
