Ajith Kumar is the simplest person I have met, says 'Valimai' antagonist Kartikeya

Tollywood actor Kartikeya, who will be seen in a negative role in Tamil star Ajith Kumar's upcoming movie Valimai, says that he enjoyed working with the mass hero and found him to a humble person. Speaking to the Times of India, he added that the team will be shooting for three days in Spain once they get permission from the authorities.

Kartikeya began his acting career with the controversial Telugu film RX 100, garnering a fair deal of attention with his raw performance. He suffered a setback when Hippi did not make the desired impact at the box office but bounced back with Gang Leader, featuring him as the antagonist opposite 'Natural Star' Nani. Many feel that Valimai might help him add a new dimension to his career if it does well at the box office.

The film is touted to be an action-thriller and features Ajith in the role of a cop. . It marks the Veeram actor's second consecutive collaboration with director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor. The trio had previously teamed up for the courtroom drama Nerkonda Paarvai, which emerged as a hit despite being an 'urban film'. It was a remake of the Bollywood film Pink and had revolved around the importance of consent. The cast included Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami, Rangaraj Pandey and Vidya Balan. It remains to be seen whether their latest film lives up to the standards set by Nerkonda Paarvai.

Valimai, meanwhile, has become a craze in Tamil Nadu . 'Thala' fans recently demanded updates about the film from cricketer Moeen Ali. Some movie buffs even raised slogans about the film during PM Modi's rally in Chennai, which ruffled a few feathers. Ajith ultimately asked his well-wishers to refrain from indulging in such acts. The first look poster of the biggie is likely to be released on Ajith's birthday (May 1) and it may offer clarity on the release date.
