Actor Yash will soon be seen in the Kannada movie KGF Chapter 2, one of the biggest films of the year. The biggie has created a fair deal of buzz among fans, which suggests that it has the potential to be a gamechanger for the 'Rocking Star'.

According to the latest reports, the makers have demanded nearly Rs 80 crore for the overseas rights of the magnum opus. It appears that the team expects more than the Rs 70 crore quoted by the makers of the Telugu movie Rise Roar Revolt (RRR).

KGF Chapter 2, directed by maverick filmmaker Prashanth Neel, is an actioner that revolves around the journey of 'Rocky Bhai'. The film, a sequel to the 2018 blockbuster KGF, is touted to be 'bigger and better' than the first part. It is likely to feature the right mix of action and emotion.

KGF Chapter 2 has a star-studded cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj, Raveena Tandon and newcomer Srinithi Shetty. 'Baba' will be playing the antagonist in what is the first Kannada movie of his career. The star's deadly look in the film has piqued the curiosity of the janta as it has a distinct 'Vikings' feel. The Bollywood star is expected to have an intense fight scene with Yash in KGF Chapter 2.

Raveena, on the other hand. will be seen playing the role of a powerful politician in the film. Her character is likely to add to the woes of the protagonist. The 'Mast Mast' star, who had garnered attention with her performance in the Kannada movie Upendra, will be hoping to return to Sandalwood innings on a good note with KGF Chapter 2.

Prakash Raj's character has piqued curiosity for an unconventional reason. A few websites had speculated that he was replacing Ananth Nag in the film. The director, however, clarified that the Singam baddie was not stepping into the veteran's shoes.

KGF Chapter 2 was supposed to hit the screens last year but that did not happen due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The team recently announced that it will release in theatres on July 16
