The list has been compiled based on the revised eligibility rules that had to be implemented in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. It was, however, never promoted as a biopic as it had plenty of commercial elements and a fictional storyline. The film starred Aparna Balamurali as the leading lady and marked her first collaboration with the<em> Si 3</em> star. The cast included Tollywood legend Mohan Babu, Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal and Karunas.<br /><br /><em>Soorarai Pottru </em>was originally supposed to release in theatres but that did not happen due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It ultimately released on Amazon Prime Video, receiving rave reviews from critics.<br /><br />Suriya, meanwhile, is going through a busy phase on the work front. The mass hero was supposed to collaborate with director Hari for <em>Aruvaa </em>but the film was put on hold. He is set to team up with <em>Visaranai </em>helmer Vetrimaaran for a political drama titled <em>Vaadivaasal</em>, which features him in the role of a politician.
