<p>The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star will appear in a small, uncredited part in the remake, which will star Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill in the lead, reported Contactmusic.<br /><br />Although it is unclear if Depp will reprise his original role, he revealed last year that he had his own plans for the movie.<br /><br />"If we find the right thing to do, it could be very funny. It sounds like a great idea. It'd be hilarious," the actor had said.<br /><br />In the new Phil Lord and Christopher Miller-directed movie, which will begin filming later this month, Tatum and Hill will play police officers investigating a new drug plaguing a high school and it was Hill's idea to rope in the superstar.<br /><br />"We wrote a really awesome Johnny Depp cameo. I talked to his agent a few times. I've never met the man. He probably won't do it, but if he does, it will be one I think he'd be proud of, and it's a real crowd pleaser. It's not cheesy," Hill said.</p>
